What is done in CNG Cylinder Hydrotesting?
CNG Cylinder testing is compulsory. Testing must be done at every three years. Cylinder Testing Services are performed as per Petroleum & Safety Department norms.
Four Steps performed in CNG Cylinder Testing.
- CNG cylinder is removed from the car and remaining cng air is released in atmosphere.
- External inspection : Cylinder is checked by eyes for any defects.
- Internal inspection : Cylinder is fitted in machine and pressurized Air is injected in cylinder by compressor upto 350 bar. Purpose for this is to check any leakage and to check whether cylinder can bear this maximum pressure.
- Oil Deposits and Impurities are removed from cylinder.
What papers are needed for CNG Cylinder testing?
Vehicle owner needs only RC book of vehicle.
What is given back after testing procedure is completed?
(1) Testing successful completion Certificate valid for next three (3) years.
(2) CNG Compliance plate to be fixed in gas filling compartment.
What is written on CNG Compliance Plate?
Plate includes CNG Cylinder number, Date of last retesting, water capacity, Testing center name, vehicle registration number.
What is the charge for testing?
Charge of Cylinder testing is 2000 rs to 2500 rs.
